NJDriverWatch
Privacy Policy
Your driving information is sensitive. This policy describes what NJDriverWatch collects, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how NJDriverWatch handles information when you use our website, create an account, enroll in record monitoring, or receive service communications. It applies to our application and account data.
2. Information we collect
We collect account information such as your email address, authentication details, communication preferences, and subscription information. During enrollment, we collect your New Jersey driver's license number as the query key for the record you ask us to monitor. We also retain your affirmative consent, its version, and the time it was accepted.
3. Current MVP data status
NJDriverWatch is currently operating in a mock-data MVP phase. We do not currently query CAIR, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, or any other live government driver-record source. Screens, alerts, and monitoring results in this phase use simulated data and are not official driving records.
4. How we use information
We use information to create and secure your account, provide requested features, maintain enrollment and consent history, process subscriptions, send service communications, respond to support requests, and improve service reliability and security. We do not sell personal information.
5. Future driver-record monitoring
If live driver-record monitoring becomes available, it will only begin after required business, legal, and provider approvals are in place. It will require your separate affirmative consent. The service is designed to keep derived status information rather than a persistent copy of raw provider-sourced record data.
6. Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with providers that support authentication, payments, hosting, customer support, and notifications. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the service.
7. Messages and preferences
We may send push notifications, email, and, where you separately opt in, SMS messages about your account and monitoring status. SMS consent is not a condition of using the service. You can manage preferences in your account, reply STOP to opt out of SMS, and use email unsubscribe options where provided.
8. Retention, access, and deletion
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request access to or deletion of account information through Settings or by contacting support. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes.
9. Security and policy changes
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change; the current version and Last updated date will be posted here.
