Terms of Service
These Terms set the rules for using NJDriverWatch. Please read them carefully before creating an account or subscribing.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, starting a subscription, or using NJDriverWatch, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. You must be able to form a binding agreement and provide accurate account information. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What NJDriverWatch provides
NJDriverWatch is a personal driver-record awareness and notification service for New Jersey drivers. It is not a government agency, legal service, insurance provider, employer, rideshare company, or a substitute for checking official records or obtaining professional advice.
3. Current MVP status
NJDriverWatch currently operates with simulated data only. We do not currently access CAIR, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, or another live government driver-record source. Any sample status, alert, deadline, or monitoring result shown in this phase is not an official driving record and must not be relied on to make legal, employment, insurance, or driving decisions.
4. Monitoring consent and data freshness
Live monitoring, if and when it becomes available, will require your separate affirmative consent. Monitoring is not real-time. The intended service cycle is approximately every nine days, and the dashboard reflects the most recently available result. Information can be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or changed after it is displayed.
5. No guarantee or professional advice
NJDriverWatch provides awareness and notification tools, not a guarantee that a suspension, fine, violation, deadline, or other consequence will be prevented. You remain responsible for your license, tickets, court obligations, insurance, and compliance deadlines. For an official record or advice, contact the appropriate agency or qualified professional.
6. Account responsibilities
You may maintain one account for one New Jersey driver's license. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly of unauthorized access. You may not use the service to monitor another person, submit inaccurate information, interfere with the service, or use it for an unlawful purpose.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Paid features are offered on a recurring subscription basis. Prices, billing intervals, renewal terms, and cancellation instructions are presented at subscription. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You are responsible for applicable taxes and for maintaining a valid payment method.
8. Notifications
You may receive push notifications, email, and, only where you separately opt in, SMS messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and can be affected by your device, carrier, email provider, settings, or network. You can manage preferences in your account and SMS recipients can reply STOP to opt out.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service or cancel your subscription through account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for a Terms violation, nonpayment, risk to the service or others, or to comply with law. Ending access does not waive payment obligations accrued before cancellation.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NJDriverWatch disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NJDriverWatch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of income, data, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, contact us and attempt to resolve the concern informally for 30 days. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it must be brought in a state or federal court located in New Jersey, unless applicable law requires a different forum.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the service, business structure, or applicable requirements change. The current version and Last updated date will be posted here. Where required, we will ask you to accept a new version before continuing to use affected features.
